Ways To Make Extra Money While You’re In College

College is more expensive than ever before in history, so the need for money is more dire than you may first understand as a freshman.  Once you realize you’re super broke, you’ll need a path to tread towards more income.

If you’re not sure where to go to make a little more money while you’re still in school, take heart.  There are plenty of opportunities for college students to use their skills and make some extra money while still in school.

Be a tutor

If you have plenty of brains to go around, you could make a little extra side cash tutoring others.  Your college campus likely has a program you can explore, but the internet also offers several viable tutoring options.

If you excel at a certain subject, delve into your tutoring options today.  Tutors are in high demand for every level of education, so you can always help.

Drive for Uber or Lyft

As long as you have a car and you’re 21 years of age, you could qualify as a driver for Uber or Lyft.  You won’t make your first million driving for one of these organizations, but you could definitely make the most of the college town in which you’re stationed.

House sit for others

Use your networking skills to find people who need a trustworthy house sitter.  House sitting is simple, and it typically pays pretty well. You can do your school work and make money at the same time by house sitting.

Write as an independent contractor

If you’re a writer, you can start making money on your skill before you ever graduate from college.  The web offers more than a few opportunities for you to write as an independent contractor for an online business.

Take surveys and answer questions

You could spend your time taking surveys and answering pinpointed questions online.  You won’t make a whole lot doing it, but you’ll pay for a night out every once in a while.  If you get enough different survey gigs, you could make more.

Consider donating plasma

You can use your healthy young body to make a little money on the side, and we don’t mean what you may be thinking.  Donating your plasma can save lives, and they pay you for your donation.  You can donate twice a week, and make around $200 extra each month.
